We want to show you the best finch cages for your pet birds. Oftentimes new owners have bought a small cage on the advice of a pet store. Then they find out the cage is too small. Here we discuss what works and doesn't work for your finch's cage.
Here we will share some products we are personally familiar with. There's a mix of name brand and off brand so you can get what fits your budget.
PREVUE Pet Products White Finch Cage
In my opinion this is the best finch cage on the market. It will not rust like some of the off-brands will. It measures 30X19X18, exactly the right size for finches to fly back and forth inside the cage (Turn the perches so they're across the ends instead of in the center).
This brand is a sturdy cage and we've been buying them for years with no problem.
Prevue Flight Cage
A flight cage is twice as tall as the 'normal' finch cage. This is the size large; I have 2 of them. I also have the size XL which you'll see in the same link. Both are fine. If you're planning to remove the sides and zip-tie the cages together to make a long flight cage, this one will not work. You must click over to get the XL (model F050) in order to have a cage where you can remove sides.
Prevue Divided Breeder Cage Stackable
All I can tell you about this one is WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG??
Great cage, easy to clean, nice doors, etc. I have this in triplicate (2 cages wide/3 high). It's great for finches, canaries, and budgies. You can remove the divider and have plenty of room for a parrotlet pair.
TIP: Throw away the dowels and outfit the cages with tree branches or different types of perches (wacky wood). Even a rope perch in addition to just one dowel will work. Sorry I just got done helping someone treat bumblefoot.
YAHEETECH stackable divided breeder cage
Measuring at 36.5 X 18 X 20.5 (inside cage height) this is a breeder's dream. You can just buy more and stack them on top. For people starting to get serious about breeding finches but without a lot of room to spread out, this could be the solution.
I don't have this one, it wasn't out when I bought my Prevue F070 stackable breeding cage.
Pawhut Rolling Flight Cage
This is a taller cage, called a flight cage. It is 32 inches wide, so there's plenty of room for your finches or canaries to fly back and forth. Very nice sized cage for the price, and the reviews say it's sturdy.
